Jaisalmer Guided Tour with Excursion to Sand Dunes

This morning at 08:30 hrs. our representative will pick you up from the hotel you are staying in Jaisalmer city and proceed to city tour of Jaisalmer. Today you will visit Sonar Fort popularly known as Jaisalmer Fort. It is still a living fort and housing a fourth of city’s residents. The fort's massive yellow sandstone walls are a tawny lion colour during the day, fading to honey-gold as the sun sets, thereby camouflaging the fort in the yellow desert. For this reason, it is also known as the Sonar Quila or Golden Fort. As it is a living fort, there are lot of local shops and market and you can also do some window shopping here. Within the Fort complex visit the beautiful 7 Jain temples decorated with mirrors, frescoes, carvings. These temples were built way back in the12th and 15th century, and are dedicated to various Jain Tirthankars (Hermits). Later visit Patwon Ki Haveli one of the most exquisite havelis with a beautifully latticed facade, Salim Singh Ki Haveli just three centuries old and is still lived in. Its arched roof is held up by well executed brackets in the form of peacocks and visit Nathmalji Ki Haveli built by two architect brothers is also worth admiring. Have lunch in any restaurant by your own.

After lunch visit Gadisar Lake & Bada Bagh and proceed to Sam Sand Dunes located at a distance of 37 Kms from the city. Enjoy the evening with Camel Safari in Sand dunes, sunset view and cultural evening followed by dinner.

The camel ride in the sand dunes is a great experience where you can enjoy unique views of the shimmering sand and watch the sunset over the desert. After camel safari you can also enjoy Jeep Safari subject to additional Charges Rs. 2500 Per Jeep up to 5 persons. After the safari you will be dropped back to Exotic Luxury Camps. After fresh n up be ready to enjoy the evening with cultural folk dance followed by dinner. To enjoy the evening, you will sit around our huge camp fire under the countless stars above to experience the unique traditional Rajasthani folk dances performed by local artists. Also enjoy the lite snacks with Chai (Tea) or Coffee being served during the dance performances. After the Cultural show enjoy traditional Rajasthani dinner and return back to Jaisalmer city.
